Bergen gardens are outdoing themselves, and you can reap the benefits at the Bergen Farmers’ Market. Saturday, 10am-1pm, Bergen Hall. Only three Markets left in our regular season!
And what will we have for you? Bergen grass-raised beef, spring onions, yellow onions, tomatoes, kale, swiss chard, green and yellow beans, broccoli, carrots, beets, potatoes, kohlrabi, red cabbage, cucumbers, podded and edible pod peas, leeks, pickling dill, herbs, and more.
Organic BC fruit: peaches by the bag and by the case, Italian prune plums, and a new picking of those luscious late-summer black plums. Coming soon: apples and pears.
Baking: all kinds of bread, sourdough included, buns, croissants, bagels and more.
Preserves, spirits, sweet treats, pet food, artisan crafts, live music, free coffee … it’s so worth the trip to “the friendliest Market around.” See you there?
