Our Market August 3 is packed with 25 vendors, including new arrival Greenwood Distillers from Sundre. They will be pleased to let you sample their gin and wassail, and take some home with you, of course!

BC organic fruit this week includes fresh, ripe heirloom tomatoes, and new-crop garlic, as well as perfect peaches, adorable apricots, and pretty plums (they taste good, too).

Local gardens are overflowing with new potatoes (not so baby anymore), snow peas, lettuce (romaine and health kick salad mix), spinach, broccoli, green beans, baby beets, herbs, kale, swiss chard, rhubarb, and honey. If you’re first in line, you might also find some shelling peas!

Water Valley Forest Nursery is back with shrubs, trees and hanging baskets. And then there are our crafters: from quilting to crocheting; children’s clothing to jewelry and ornaments; metal art to pottery to African baskets, and more. Perfect gifts, including gifts for yourself!

Enjoy a croissant or a breakfast sandwich, or a gooey cinnamon bun, a piece of pie or a granola bar…or one of each. You won’t go home hungry, and you’ll discover why we’re known as “the friendliest Market around.”

See you there? Bergen Community Hall, 10am-1pm every Saturday through September 14.
