If you’ve visited our website recently, you may have noticed that our countdown clock says we’re only 6 days away from the first Bergen Farmers’ Market of the season. It’s been a cool, dry spring, alternating with days of summer-like heat: truly a challenge for local producers! But we expect to have a good selection of early produce (even including basil!), as well as SweetMeadow Farmstead Cheese, Double N Ranch natural beef, artisan wood-fired baking (chocolate croissants, anyone?), as well as all kinds of bread, pies, cookies, cupcakes … you can make a darn good picnic lunch with our Bergen products!
We’ll have organic cherries from the Similkameen Valley. Cross your fingers, we might even have some early apricots and peaches!
You’ll find quilting, needlework and other sewn crafts; woodworking; jewelry; plants and flowers; books and movies to borrow from the Sundre Library; a play area for the kids, and – of course – free coffee and friendly conversation.
