WE’RE ENJOYING AN EARLY SPRING IN BERGEN
and since last week’s much-needed rains, gardens (and weeds) have really taken off. So much so, that at the first Market June 27 we’ll have produce that usually shows up much later. Spinach! Kale! Basil! Green Peas!! And much more, of course. Organic BC Fruit is back again – the orchards are ahead of schedule, too – and we’ll feature fresh-picked organically-grown cherries from the Similkameen Valley. All our regulars are back: Double N Ranch, Sweetmeadow Farmstead Cheese, Beau Dangles Jewelry, Thompson Small Farm, Water Valley Forest Nursery and other local bakers, crafters, and growers.
We’re delighted to welcome new vendor Bearz Honey, selling honey, pollen, wax, candles, soap. And a new artisan breadmaker too, with products from Bergen’s first wood-fired brick oven.
