The Bergen Farmers’ Market is all about healthy food, produced sustainably within just a few miles of the Market.
Sandy and Bob of Kettle Crossing Farm are two of our original vendors. They’re returning this year with salad greens and herbs; snow and pod peas; spinach, kale, chard and beans. Later in the season: zucchini, tomatoes and peppers; and then the root vegetables: onions, carrots, potatoes, parsnips, leeks. Many are heirloom varieties. All are grown in healthy soil and the farm’s own compost, and harvested a day before the market. No chemicals or artificial pesticides.
At the Kettle Crossing table you’ll also find duck eggs (in season) and thick, hand-cut marmalade, made in small batches during winter when oranges are at their best.
Come vist the Market for our 11th season, starting June 26, then every Saturday 10am-1pm at the Bergen Hall. We’re “the friendliest Market around” and we’re well worth the trip.
