You’ll need to go elsewhere for your wine, but we do have a bountiful crop of Royal Burgundy … beans, that is. These tender, tasty vegetables turn green when you cook them–or you can just start with the more usual green and yellow beans: there will be lots of those at the Market, too.
We also have a full “crop” of vendors this week. If you’ve visited recently, you will have enjoyed locally-roasted coffee; baking of all sorts; organic BC fruit (peaches! tomatoes! garlic!); honey and mead; preserves; fine jewelry and other crafts; pet treats, Tupperware, and more. Local produce this week (in addition to beans) will include new potatoes, broccoli, carrots, beets, peas ready to shell, and whatever else we glean from our burgeoning gardens between now and Saturday.
Rain or shine this August long weekend, we’ll be ready to welcome you to “the friendliest Market around.” See you there?
